L Shaped Garden refurb

I have an L shaped garden new build. It’s 5m long and 11m wide approx. I have put in landscaping with path of paving from garage to the other side of the garden. I was wondering how to incorporating planting to make the garden appear larger and avoid skinny borders. If anyone has any examples this would be extremely helpful. Many thanks

Welcome to the Garden Ninja community.

New build gardens can be quite overwhelming given there's usually little in there to start with. I'm glad to hear you're wanting to incorporate planting which is music to my ears along with avoiding the dreaded skinny border.
