Thyme and Rosemary yellowing leaves problem

    Morning All,

    Pleasant day to you all.

So I have tried to  grow Rosemary and Thyme on numerous occasions over the years but for some reason with not much luck.  After a few months they look dry with yellow spots like the pictures no matter what I do.  I have planted then in raised beds or pots with very gritty soil water when needed I think, but still having problems.  What am I doing wrong?  Please see pictures attached.  Advice appreciated please.  Thank you.

Tricky question this one, especially as you have tried varied growing positions, using a free draining soil, did you use garden soil or a compost?

May I suggest trying a peat free compost mixed 60 to 70% peat free compost the rest Horticultural Grit, with crocks in the bottom of a container, and make sure your plants are in full "Sun"

Also you watered when you thought they needed watering, if the plants look dry, just push your finger into the compost, get it down a couple of inches, if wet leave alone, should it be bone dry dusty feeling, give it some water, do not flood it, they don't like waterlogged roots, if you were growing these in the same place using the same soil, then one could say it was a fungal problem attacking the plant, I don't know if there are pests/insects that attack these herbs, hopefully Lee will pick up on your post, and expert advice will be forthcoming, but the above is worth a try.

Please let the forum know how it goes, it may help other members with the same problem.
