    Is my Weigela ok?

Hi all.  I have a Weigela 'All Summer' Monet either side of my front door (East facing). Both were bought at the same time and were the same size. They have both been fed and watered exactly the same. One is growing well and thriving, but as you will see in the pic, the other has some brown crispy leaves, isn't growing so well and looks a bit sickly. Is there something wrong with it, can it be revived? Thanks for your help.

    Hello my tiny garden,

From your picture it looks as though your plants are in pots? if they are move the one with possible problems out of the way, keep it in the same light conditions if you can, similar growing condition.

These plants can suffer from bacterial/fungicidal problems, but also the browning of leaves can be, overwatering and underwatering.

I was thinking that should you use a watering can, does one plant get 3/4 of the water the other plant get a 1/4??

Only a suggestion, using a full watering can, water one plant until water starts appearing with a good flow through the drainage holes.

Then fill your can, and do exactly the same procedure for your other plant, then you know the plants are getting approximately the same amount of water, give the plant a week or so and monitor any changes, I know that soft stem plants can recover very quickly from underwatering, I proved that over the past few days ?? not too sure on harder stem plants.

If nothing changes on the plant that is a bit poorly, you can then look at alternative methods of revival, let the forum know how you get on.

    Best

    Bob
