Plant recommendation for heavy shady clay

Hi everyone.....  Can anyone recommend an evergreen shrub or fern that would be suitable for a shady corner of my garden please? I've not tested the pH of my soil as of  yet, but it is very heavy clay. It would be planted against a south facing fence, but it would get very little sun, as there is a shed to the  right of it and the roofs of nearby houses straight ahead. Thank you.

    Hi Tiny Garden,

Ok so for a start for a clay shady border checkout the unusual Physocarpus opulifolius. Deciduous shrub also known as ninebark which has great Acer like leaves and will easily cope with those conditions. Best of all it does flower with Pom Pom white blooms too!

    Happy plant researching!

Great thanks for that Lee! I get most of my plants from J. Parker's, so I'll see if they have one ?
