    Trees for large open garden

Hi, we are looking to make our garden more private with trees but we are new to gardening and arent sure how high, how many and type of tree to plant for a modern look along the left hand wall.

we are thinking trees along the left wall and bushes along the back fence, any ideas would be much apreciated.

    Hi @d-moffat

This is a really popular question, especially with a blank canvas.

I'd recommend you look at these previous two posts to show you the best trees for small and new build gardens. There's some great advice here from other Garden Ninjas.

Given you have such a blank canvas it may be better to book an hour-long consultation with me to discuss specific trees and some design layouts to help you get started. You can have a look at that remote garden design advice service here.

If you're looking for other gardening guides my YouTube channel has hundreds of detailed guides here, especially for new build gardens.

    Happy gardening!
