    Where to buy bareroot trees

Hi, does anyone know where the best place to buy a selection of bare root trees and hedging this year ?

    thank you

    Hi,

Bareroot trees and hedges are a really cost-effective way of planting up your garden and saving money at the same time! Bare roots are dormant trees or shrubs that have been lifted making for easier transport and lifting. Great to planting a hedge or a new garden with lots of trees quickly.

As you've mentioned you order and plant your bare roots in late Autumn mid winter when they have been lifted.

See below for a picture of a bare root rose for example.

Wherever possible I always plant bare roots in the autumn as they have a higher rate of success, require less maintenance and are more cost-effective. You can watch more on what a bare root is and why they're such a great option.

I've used Ashridge trees before for my bareroots, tell them I sent you! I have used them a number of times and their stock is of excellent quality.

    Happy hedging!
